We worked with this wonderful charity to create a new brand and website to launch a 5-year-programme to make the industrial town of Rotherham (Chief Bear’s birthplace) a go-to destination for arts and culture. It’s a wonderful cause, making great headway in its mission.

The process

The Flux Rotherham project is geared towards creating a brighter future for the young people of the town, by turning it into a go-to destination for arts and culture.

We wanted to put those young people at the heart of the new brand and website process and engaged with the arts college to run a series of workshops with students to understand what Rotherham and the arts means to them. We also toured the town and surrounding countryside to get insight and inspiration on what the town and wider area is all about.

The website was again grounded in insight from the community of the town, along with the needs of Flux to create a website that supports them in achieving their objectives.

The outcome

The new Flux brand is the perfect combination of the town’s industrial heritage, its surrounding countryside and open spaces.

The colour palette is inspired by this green landscape and the town’s industrial roots.

The new site is a place where artists can find opportunities, people can find out what’s going on in the town and the charity can share the great work they are doing and have done.

Go and check it out, and put Rotherham on your list of places to visit!
