Birmingham Dogs Home rescue and rehome unwanted and homeless dogs across the West Midlands, with hundreds of dogs passing through their care each year. We’ve been working with them for 4 years now and we’ve been involved in everything from brand development, building a new website, running countless fundraising campaigns as well as general graphic design.

The process

We’ve worked with Birmingham Dogs Home for 4 years now – these are some highlights from this wonderful partnership, which has seen significant increases in the fundraising efforts and performance of the charity, led brilliantly by the wonderful Head of Fundraising & Comms, Fi Harrison.

Website design & development – the BDH website was really holding them back, with an outdated look and feel, poor functionality and a back-end system that even the most seasoned web developer would’ve struggled with.

We redesigned and built a new website with a suite of new functionality, a dog search function, integrated with the CRM system, an online application system for the dogs, new donation platform integration and a boatload of other improvements and upgrades, as well as a fresh new look. The new site has saved 1000s of hours of admin time and has been a vital part of significant increases in fundraising income generated from campaigns.

130 year celebrations – BDH recently turned 130! We had the absolute privilege of being involved in the planning, preparation and delivery of the 130th campaign including creating a campaign lockup and rolling it out across celebration campaigns and material.

Crufts x3 – we’ve now supported the Dogs Home at 3 Crufts shows, designing and managing the stand production process, creating bespoke designs around each year’s theme and fundraising focus.

Loads of design stuff – we’ve lost track of the number of design jobs we’ve worked on – we must’ve created hundreds of items, from brochures to banners, social media images, leaflets, dog collars, t-shirts, signage, and campaign creatives – we love all of them and the mix of colour and personality we’ve injected into this historic organisation.

The outcome

We’ve had a really fruitful and collaborative few years working with the team at Birmingham Dogs Home, which has resulted in some incredible results across all metrics.

We’ve seen significant and sustained increases in fundraising performance across key campaigns, increases in website traffic and conversion, huge amounts of reduced admin time through automation and digitisation of processes as well as a visual transformation of the brand identity, whilst retaining the core heritage of this incredible 130 year old charity.
