The process

Student Minds needed to bring together two separate websites into one accessible, scalable platform. The existing main site was outdated and difficult to manage, while the newer Student Space platform offered a better experience but lacked integration. The challenge was to unify content, brand and functionality in order to improve user journeys for their wide ranging audiences.

We began by reviewing existing user research, then layered in our own insight work, including workshops and stakeholder interviews, to shape a clear, user-led structure for the site. With branding work running alongside the website, we ensured both developed in sync, from early wireframes to final UI design.

Built on WordPress and hosted on SiteGround, the site was designed for performance, accessibility and ease of use. Seamless integration with tools like Mailchimp, Enthuse and CRM platforms helped streamline journeys, and we provided full training and documentation to give the Student Minds team complete control post-launch.

The outcome

The new website is a joined up, future ready platform that brings Student Minds’ digital presence under one roof.

It delivers fast, mobile optimised access to resources, services and support within a structure that meets the the needs of students, staff, parents and professionals.

WCAG 2.2 compliance, considered user journeys and intuitive navigation make it easy for users to find what they need, when they need it.

For the internal team, a scalable CMS and clear training means they can manage updates with confidence.

It’s a site that now reflects the ambition and impact of the charity.
