Northern Bear: Wrapped

BlogGeneral

It’s approaching 2pm on Christmas Eve and I’m drafting my out of office, so it feels like the right moment to stop and look back on the year we’ve had.

So this is my 2025 Wrapped. Not with numbers or charts (although I do enjoy a stat), but a look at the projects, the people and the moments that shaped 2025 at Northern Bear. The stuff that actually mattered.

The projects

This year brought a few projects that really reminded us why we do what we do.

We launched new websites for Power 2 and NDTi and worked with the Together Coalition on both The Big Help Out and The Independent Commission on Community and Cohesion. All very different pieces of work and organisations, but all focused on people, supporting them, bringing them together and helping communities feel stronger.

We also worked with Uprawr Foundation, Swift Psychology and Student Minds. These projects felt especially important, knowing the impact they could have on mental health across the UK.

Alongside those launches, we supported campaigns and events for SOS Children’s Villages, Fair By Design, Flux Rotherham and Birmingham Dogs Home. Helping messages land at the moments they matter most is something we’re always proud to be part of.

The people

One thing we care deeply about at Northern Bear is being approachable people and maintaining relationships with our clients.

This year, we’ve continued working closely with charities like Envision, UKMT, Brightside, Class13, and RSL. We’ve also loved supporting local organisations like Merisons, Blackfort Brown and Outwoods PTFA with their brands and websites. There’s something extra special about helping people closer to home.

Looking ahead, we’re excited about projects rolling into the new year too, including LTSB Charity and Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home.

The bears

Behind all of this, we’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how we work together as a team.

Our Christmas party day also taught me two things. One, never let me loose with an axe! and two, being together in person really matters. Sometimes you forget how important that is until you’re all in the same room again.

The moments

A real highlight this year has been getting out and seeing people properly again.

After so long on video calls, it’s been genuinely lovely to meet clients face to face. In some cases, for the very first time. Those conversations, coffees and shared moments have been a good reminder that relationships still matter, even in a very digital world.

A wrapped roundup

Without wanting to sound soppy, I’m genuinely grateful to our clients for our work in 2025. It’s been a great year.

But for now, it’s time to clock off, enjoy a proper break, slow the pace for a moment and look ahead to an exciting year to come.

See you in 2026.
