We shared several concepts for the campaign, but the clear winner was a delightful concept featuring a range of adorable ‘doodle’ dogs, which, as well as being totally gorgeous, introduced a new, much-needed dose of warmth and personality to the brand, something that much better reflects the nature and atmosphere of the charity, and the people who work within it.
We also introduced a special campaign colour, that complemented the existing BDH brand colour palette.
The doodle dogs and additional elements we created for the campaign have been so well received that they will be living on as a key element of the Birmingham Dogs Home brand.
One important consideration for the campaign was to update a range of legacy collateral, which still used various iterations of the brand as it has evolved over the years. The team at BDH wanted a new suite of materials for the 130th that could easily be adapted once the 130th year was over.
