We’re all in this together

BlogGeneral

A group of young people standing in a circle with their hands stacked on a basketball, giving it a vibrant, energetic feel, symbolising teamwork and unity.

Yes, the title’s a nod to High School Musical and yes, I’m fully embracing it as an adult!

Because whether we’re breaking into song on a basketball court (we’re not… yet) or collaborating on a brand-new project with a client, the message still hits home.

We really are all in this together.

Sleuth (collective noun for a group of bears)

Last week, our Northern Bear team gathered in Chester for one of our team meet-up days. With some of us working remotely, these moments are more than just a chance to catch up over lunch (although the food was delicious), being together in the same space sparks a different kind of creativity. Conversations flow freely, little lightbulb moments happen and we all leave feeling that bit more aligned and energised.

Our work can often be fast-paced, with multiple projects and timelines on the go. But taking a moment to connect reminds us how much stronger we are when we collaborate. Every bear brings something different to the table and when we work as a team, the outcome is always better for it.

That sense of togetherness extends far beyond our cave. It’s at the heart of every project we take on with our brilliant clients. Whether we’re creating a brand from scratch, designing a website or launching a new campaign, we see ourselves as partners in the journey. We’re in it with you, asking questions, solving problems, and striving to produce the best possible outcome for your organisation or the people you support.

Hear it from our clients

The Bears are highly-skilled and creative, but most importantly, really human, friendly and just an all-round great bunch of people. They are just as invested in the finished site looking brilliant as their clients are, which is clear from their dedication throughout the project.

Each Bear is an expert in their field, from UI and UX to project management, they really are an A team, and we enjoyed working with all of them.

Together in action

Recently, I had the honour of joining Birmingham Dogs Home as they marched proudly at Birmingham Pride for what was an unforgettable day of togetherness, community and celebration. Just a few weeks later, we were invited to a VE Day wrap party in London hosted by the /Together coalition, where we finally met the team we’ve worked closely with. Both moments were a brilliant reminder that what we do isn’t just about deliverables, it’s about relationships, shared values and mutual trust. Sharing space, chatting informally, and reflecting on the journey so far felt like a proper full-circle moment.

Final thought

Whether we’re huddled around a screen or gathered in person, we’ll keep showing up for each other. For our team, for our clients and for the causes we care about.

Because we really are all in this together.

If you have a design, digital or creative project you think we could help with, we’d love to hear from you. Drop me a line at dan@thenorthernbear.co.uk or get in touch with our Chief Bear, Chris, at chris@thenorthernbear.co.uk.

Cue the basketball huddle, a big team cheer… and maybe a bit of choreographed dancing (optional).
